A very special day indeed! Why?
3 Reasons:
  1. Anzac Day
  2. Miss Congeniality
  3. My Anniversary
Let me expand...

Anzac Day

So I'm not a big history buff myself so I won't bore you with too many of the details, but basically if you didn't know here in Australia, the 25th of April is a problem holiday called Anzac Day. This day is a national day to remember the Australians and New Zealanders "who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations..." Although I'm not that into history, I think it is important to remember those people who served this countries and sacrificed their own lives to make the country what it is today and that we get to live our lives the way we do now all thanks to their bravery and service.

Miss Congeniality Favourite Date

For those of you who have seen Miss Congeniality (if you haven't - seriously go watch it!! It's hilarious), you may remember a particular scene in the movie where Cheryl Fraser (played by Heather Burns) was asked;
"Miss Rhode Island, describe your perfect date."
And her response was;
"I'd have to say April 25th. Because it's not too hot, not too cold. All you need is a light jacket."
Surprising that is exactly what the weather was today! The sun was out but there was a cool enough breeze to wear a light jacket! Was a pretty great today! And seriously again, if you have not seen this movie you really should! It stars Sandra Bullock who plays an FBI agent who has to go undercover in  a beauty pageant to find a terriost and it's just hilarious! It even has a sequel which isn't bad, but the first one is definitely a must-see!

❤ My Anniversary

Ok tbh it wasn't a big anniversary or anything, (although for me every anniversary is, because this is my first serious relationship), but today marked 5 months since my boyfriend and I started dating. Luckily it aligned with a public holiday, as both our families had the day off! So we started off the morning grabbing brunch at this cute little cafe called "A Mother's Milk" with his family and then we got to finish off the day with a BBQ dinner at my parents place with my brother, cousin and grandma. It was quite a full on day for us, because both my boyfriend and I are kinda lazy and spend most of our time at home in front of the tv or computer!
But I thought it was kinda cool that we got to spend out anniversary with both our families especially since we never really celebrate our anniversaries, we just acknowledge it's been another month and remind each other how much we love the other.
