Season Styling

I'm guessing that majority of the world's population dress according to the weather and what season it currently is.  Here in Australia - it's sometimes impossible to even plan one day ahead of an outfit to wear.

For example: Only yesterday it was 30 degrees (86 degrees fahrenheit) completely sunny, hot and the birds were singing whereas today - I woke up to 19 degrees (66 f) with thunder, lightning, and more rain then I've seen ALL YEAR! And currently we are meant to be halfway through Autumn, but it has been hot almost the entire year so far and it's driving me crazy!! I don't know about you, but I prefer the cold. I like being able to wear multiple layers, look cute in a beanie or scarf, and not having to worry about shaving my legs is just the best thing for someone as lazy myself! Hopefully the rain this morning will finally be the start of the Autumn weather I've been waiting for.

Update: "WHAT?!" Ok I literally just looked out my window...AND IT'S SUNNY?! There was thunder and lightning not 1 HOUR AGO!!! ⛈

Ok, I think today I'm going to use this post to talk about ideas for outfits to wear on unpredictable days like today!

Outfit #1 - Cute 'n' Simple

If you're heading out maybe to a friend's place or something that's fairly casual, you can keep it simple with Jeans, a cami top - for autumn preferably one that is red/brown/neutral colour, and with a cardigan to keep you warm from the breeze but also easy to take off and carry if the sun comes out. 

With this outfit in particular, it all comes down to the accessories you put with it to determine how casual to how fancy you want to be with it. That's the great thing about a simple outfit - is there are so many possibilities to play around with it. Just take into consideration: the bag, the shoes and a necklace if you choose to wear one. 

Being a casual event, I would recommend wearing flats or sandals, a simple necklace and a small shoulder bag to go with this outfit, but if you want to dress it up a bit then find a fancier or bigger necklace, swap out the shoulder bag for a tote and throw on a pair of heels and you're good to go!

Outfit #2 - Lil bit Classy

For an occasion that's a little bit more mature or public such as work or a dinner date, you feel like you want to dress up a bit more and appear with some class, this outfit would be perfect!

There used to be a lot of debate about when it's appropriate to wear white jeans, but really white jeans/pants are season-less and go with basically everything! Plus I thin white jeans just say "classy". With that, a plain coloured top appears mature and helps draw the attention to the brown coat which I think is very appropriate for both the season and occasion. 

To complete this look, pair of simple pump heels and a natural coloured shoulder bag just fit right in. For that extra lil splash of fancy, you could dress it up a bit with a gold necklace or a ring.

Outfit #3 - Cosy and Comfy

Nothing says cosy like a nice warm sweater with a matching beanie with a pom pom. Even better is being able to still look nice and cute without just looking all comfort. The small shoulder bag really helps to make this outfit more outgoing whereas without it, I think this outfit would look more like you just wanna snuggle up on the sofa and watch Netflix - which don't get me wrong there is ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with that (that is my perfect day right there), but when talking about fashion outfits to wear outside it should look like you at least wanted to leave the house. 

Although overall, I think this outfit is leading more towards winter, it still would work for one of the more colder days of Autumn. The main item that brings out the autumn-ness of the outfit, would be the knee high brown boots, whereas if they were black then this outfit would be completely winter, but with those brown boots it passes as an appropriate outfit to wear throughout the season.

Update: Now it's just a nice 20 degrees, overcast with a cool breeze! "I bet the sun'll come out tomorrow, bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow......"
